The accommodation and dining experience that this team of people delivers is something to experience. This with the royal accommodation and scenic silence is an experience we will never forget and will return to again and again.
It was an extremely cold weekend, but it had been special because the food was delicious and the service excellent.
Setting and quality of hotel are very good. Dinners are excellent but table service could be improved, definitely not enough waiters. Asking for a bottle of wine turned out to be a challenge and I was asked to go to the cellar, which really is not on. The lake in front of the hotel is a huge bonus and we did use the free boat to take a gentle cruise around the tiny lake. Rooms are superb and very comfortable. Breakfast was mainly buffet, and at that price, one would expect real fruit juice instead of something from a box. Also, mimosas or smoked salmon should have been a choice given the high daily accommodation rate. Quality of dinner is excellent, but portions are very small. All in all, recommended if they take note of the shortcomings listed here.
Apart from a very bad road due to "potholes", the place is a treat for the eyes and the stomach. Beautiful gardens, beautiful surroundings in a heritage area and great service. Dinner was a feast in the cold. I am extremely allergic to white beans and they adjusted my food without a second thought. Thank you very much.
The service, food and hotel are fantastic. It was a really nice place to stay. The environment is incredibly beautiful.
The staff are incredibly friendly yet professional, from Amen who greeted us outside to Marius who handled the service.
If you like 80's gourmet food you will love the food. Nothing fresh in sight. Lots of butter and puree, stewed and heavy. The emphasis is on the presentation of the menu. The scenery is breathtaking, but if you're looking for a variety of restaurants, get ready for a 60-minute drive on a road full of potholes.
From our arrival to departure it was an unforgettable experience. The service is great and everyone is friendly and helpful. The food is truly excellent and each meal was a masterpiece in its own right. The environment is beautiful. The pond is on your doorstep and the mountains are right around you. We will come again for sure. Thanks to everyone who made it so special.
